Jyotirmoy De is an artist whose practice encompasses a diverse range of mediums, painting and design. He completed a two-year course in Design at Kala Bhavana, Visva Bharati, Santiniketan, and earned his B.F.A. and post-diploma in Painting from the same institution and M.S.U. Baroda, respectively.
De has participated in many exhibitions, with recent highlights including the Paschimbanga Charukala Annual Exhibition (2022-23) and the Baroda March at The Stainless Gallery, New Delhi (2022). He also showcased his work in Talks with Nature at Gallery Veda, Chennai (2021), and the CIMA Award Show in Kolkata (2017). His accolades include the 50th National Award (2008) and the Junior Fellowship Award from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India (2013-14). De’s work reflects a commitment to exploring important themes through the interplay of form and concept, invaluable to the contemporary art landscape.
