Srirangam

Srirangam - located in a UNESCO world heritage buffer zone - pays tribute to the historical and cultural legacy founded by Rabindranath Tagore in Santiniketan. This home (and also homestay) features curated artworks throughout its property, showcasing design rooted in India’s rich history and craftsmanship. The front verandas, with hand-carved stone pillars from Tamil Nadu, echo the corridors of mediaeval temples. A U-shaped amphitheatre around a lily pool recalls ancient step wells while terracotta roofs do Kerala’s Nalakettu architecture. The 1,400-square-foot basement hosts a private art gallery, offering access to aspiring artists. Srirangam embodies a timeless, universal aesthetic and the harmonious blending of eclectic styles.
