GABAA

GABAA is an artists led centre situated in Santiniketan, Birbhum; an independent space for interdisciplinary and research based engagement and collaborative art practice that explores alternative methodologies of community conversations with archive and making. Through identifying process as provocation to generate statements, dialogues and discussions, GABAA as a space is involved in alternative approaches of pedagogy, both as a site and practice; a continuous process of transformation through its activities, actions and engagements of multiple individual gestures. Each encounter in the space contributes to the making of this community which intervenes into the idea of post- institutions towards a collective manifesto. The space explores sustenance of ecology in art through the emergence of a growing community based on multiple forms of practices and collaborations.
